I’m glad I followed it to your delightful article.
I’m kinda shocked I never followed Dr. Hawkins before, but I will from now on. What a wonderful teacher.
One thing he said sparked me to think of the Old Testament story where God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, which Abraham proceeds to do until God stopped him...
I always thought it was just a silly story about God testing Abraham’s devotion, but now I see the deeper interpretation: that God had brought Abraham through this ordeal in order for Abraham to find out what was inside Abraham.
It was for Abraham to know himself more profoundly.
Interesting article. I haven’t had a chance to watch the videos yet. I’m not surprised that two of my many favorite authors on that list are so highly rated: St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. There are many others on that list whom I love reading, including Dante’s trilogy and Milton as well. I didn’t see Spencer (Faerie Queen), but I suppose one can’t list them all.

Anyway, thanks for the clips.
They’re excellent.
I love the work of Dr. David R. Hawkins.
I also love this Substack piece.
Honor to Doc,
and respect to you for this wonderful missive.
The more I digest the content, the more I feed my soul.
Thank you!

Ovid’s “Metamorphoses” is also magnificent.
Interesting philosophy this Dave Hawkins has.
